• January 19, 2010 - Public Hearing Notifications were distributed regarding Hudson County's request to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection proposing to permanently dispose of 2.56 acres and temporarily divert 0.5 acres of Hudson County Park at Laurel Hill (Block 1, Lot 3 in the Town of Secaucus), in connection with the construction and operation of the Portal Bridge Capacity Enhancement Project. • October 5, 2009 - Notifications that the project has submitted the Waterfront Development Permit to NJDEP were published in the Star Ledger and the Kearny Journal the week of October 5, 2009.
• December 23, 2008 - The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), lead agency for the preparation of the EIS signed the Record of Decision (ROD) for the Portal Bridge Capacity Enhancement Project.
